Jim Thomas, Arizona Member Since March 2007 Artist Statement In the year 2000 I received a challenging health diagnosis. In response to this I closed my thirty-five year old business and put my creative energy into landscape and visionary oil painting. Over the next few years I did oil painting demonstrations in the lobby of the Old Town Gallery in downtown Flagstaff, Arizona. These painting demonstrations were photographed and remain online today as step by step oil painting demonstrations. You will appreciate a painting better if you can see how it came into being over many months. When the Old Town Gallery closed I returned to my home studio. Thank you.
