Kathrine Lloyd, Seattle Member Since December 2008 Artist Statement Kathrine Lloyd grew up on the east coast outside of Washington D.C. before moving to Seattle in 1999. In 2003 when she began volunteering at PAWS Wildlife Center in Lynnwood, WA, a place where orphaned and injured wildlife is nursed back to health and returned to the wild, a greater interest in nature and wildlife was sparked that has carried over into her photography. That experience sparked a deeper appreciation for the wild individuals that live amongst us.
Kathrine began photographing wildlife nearly 3 years ago and has grown more passionate about it during that time. She can often be found hiding amongst the reeds or in the tall grasses that surround large bodies of water in western Washington.
