Wouldn't you like to be here? Imagine the sights from atop this ferris wheel on the boardwalk pier in Ocean City. Just think how far out over the Atlantic Ocean you would be able to see. This just may be one of the most photographed structures at the beach - at any time of year.
The Jolly Roger Amusement Park owners took over the pier rides last year. Everything, however, is the same, only the name has been changed.
Bill Swartwout, Fenwick Island, DE Member Since April 2007 Artist Statement Welcome to one of my homes on the Web. Photography has been a part of me for 50+ years. I grew up in a small family that moved around the country a lot. I did wedding photography and aerial photography to work my way through college. Thus, my affinity for travel and pictures.
Mother Nature is my favorite artist. I endeavor to share some of her creations in my landscape and seascape photographs.
Today, our Internet business involves travel - and we do like to travel. I have been accumulating imagery of places we have been and am selecting some of the more interesting shots to illustrate those places. My favorites, of course, are my of former home town Baltimore and where I now reside at the beach in West Fenwick, Delaware, just north of Ocean City, Maryland. At the beach photograph water and boardwalk scenes and bridges and jetties with varying light qualities. In the "big city" I enjoy the myriad styles of building architecture and, always, the touristy images. Bon Voyage.
