Jim Charnon, Wisconsin Member Since February 2009 Artist Statement After twenty-two years of working in the corporate world for a global consumer products marketing company, I retired to start a new chapter of life. I knew that I once again wanted to pursue photography, a serious hobby of mine during the days of film and slides, that I set aside during my working life. So here I am, back into it with 21st century equipment and enjoying it more than ever.
The skills and perspectives I possess have been self taught and/or gained over my life time through my own artistic ability and creativity, photographic experiences, and online education. I look for opportunities to capture or create unique images that will work well in any business or home setting. In addition, I have the flexibility to work with clients on a commissioned basis for special requests. Galleries 1 and 2 are subject neutral, while Gallery 3 is focused on lighthouses I have photographed.
I do my own printing, matting, and framing. I hope you’ll find my work interesting and unique.
