.................................Fine Art and People Photography.............................
Michal Fanta is a fine art and people photographer from a little country in the heart of Europe called the Czech republic. He started his photographic career at the age of five. It was the time he got his first camera and fell in love with photography. When he turned 15 he bought his first digital camera.
He has started to take “making photographs” more seriously about three years ago. michalfanta doesn’t care whether he uses Canon or Nikon or other brand. Michal says that he just needs a camera with fully manual mode.
michalfanta likes: spending time at the café drinking coffee and relaxing, looking at photographs by Henri Cartier Bresson and by Annie Leibovitz and of course eating and photographing GUMMY BEARS. He also likes movies because while watching the movie he can look at about 24 photos per second. His favourite movies are Woody Allens’.
Ricardo Liberato (photographer) has said about him: “Michal Fanta is the World’s leading Gummi Bear photographer. He has brought new light to the genre – some say he created it himself. :-) Great light and DOF control, specially in diffuse light make his pictures stand out, a continuous source of inspiration.”

“I make photographs for the pure love of photography."
“One of the reasons I love to take photographs is that people don’t have to speak any particular language to understand what I want to say.”
“Many people told me, that they will never look at gummy bears the same way as before.”
