As with most people I produced art as a young child, but I consider my teens to be the time in my life at which I began to produce art that moved from child to adult painter. I started learning about art techniques in the New Orleans’ French Quarter at John McCrady Art School. I first learned to draw with values using pencil, paper and an eraser. Watercolors became the art medium of choice about 5 years later and to this day is what I consider to be the conduit for my expressions.

I’ve always seen the world as eclectic canvas. I hope my style promotes vivid design as the eye desires to see the world. I want to make the lighthouses that I paint and the stormy skies that embrace them take on their own persona. Each has a message that needs to be told of how they got this way. My watercolors of sports also have a story to tell about events and situations that arise when athletes push their limits of endurance. Wild brush strokes as well as the use of primary mixed secondary colors portray the mood of the subjects whether it be a lighthouse or a bicyclist.
