Artist Statement "If I could paint the most magnificent picture to ever exist, I would paint the earth in all its brilliance—every creature so unique, every mountain standing in its glory, every ocean stretching from shore to shore, every tree that whispers, telling us how lucky we are to experience it all. But, nonetheless, I can not paint this picture, for no human is that skilled an artist."

Since childhood, art and nature have been a considerable part of my life. Gradually, I have come to realize how interconnected the two are. Nature is the most significant inspiration for my art, and art is such a compelling part of nature. The small details, the intricacies that are often overlooked, light, color, and the emotions these elements create...this is what inspires me.

After moving from the midwest to Arizona, the desert has become a new and exciting source of motivation for me. It is a place that I have come to love and respect; my hope is to share this with others. I also cannot ignore my roots, so while the desert is a source of inspiration, so are the green deciduous forests of the midwest.

In my work you will find a variety of mediums and subjects. This is a part of my continual exploration of the world through art. I welcome your feedback and comments. Please enjoy!
