Description I took this large format (4x5) film image using a pinhole camera, placed right at one end of the bridge on a tripod. It was a misty, chilly Saturday morning -- the kind of day when no one else was out hiking along this path in Patapsco State Park in Ellicott City, Maryland. I had the bridge to myself for this exposure, as the river flowed past and mists moved among the trees. It was such a peaceful setting.

I am a scientist, astronomer, mathematician, and engineer by trade, and a pinhole photographer by passion. Though I occasionally do "lensed photography", I generally do work with pinhole and zone plate cameras, where no lens is used. I work with either large format (4x5) or medium format film.
