I cannot explain it, but I love type and handwriting and I always have. Perhaps it is because both offer such a broad spectrum of looks and styles, but accomplish one goal... communication. Art is extremely varied and also achieves the single goal of communicating with the viewer. This is why I think type and writing work so well in art.
