I love machines - cars and trucks and augurs and bikes and pumps and earthmovers and grape presses and, well, you get the idea. I love to see them in action, at rest and on their way back into the ground from which their materials were taken. I get very anthropomorphic with machines...I've been known to pat the dashboard and thank my 4x4 for getting me up or down a harrowing mountain road, kiss my camera for giving me some amazing pictures, say goodbye to cars as I've sold them. The machine life cycle mirrors our own, and it's important to remember that just as a 1919 International tractor will rust and disappear, so will this 1966 Homo sapiens.
