As a mother and educator, I am surrounded by my preferred subject matter, and my most constant source of inspiration: children. Their energy and purity of spirit is infectious and sublime.
My most recent series, entitled, ‘Fly’, is in essence, about the belief that when children are nurtured and encouraged as individuals, they will discover their ability to ‘Fly,’ see and achieve. My work explores the desire to preserve the child like spirit in all of us and the unfortunate and debilitating emotional effects that occur when that spirit is eroded, broken or stolen.
