I love to take photos - heaps of them; my digital camera is my constant companion. Here are a few of my faves ... a bit of a mixed bag really. When I look at this gallery, I realise that most of my photos are of nature - I'm not at all comfortable taking people shots. Yes, I am definitely inspired by abstract shapes and patterns in nature, particularly expressive ones. I go a bit zen - I like to feel at one with nature and its rhythms. I read somewhere that if you become part of nature, nature will come to you. I could stare into water and watch waves breaking for hours!

I also love to take extremely ordinary subjects, particularly those right under my nose, but with an interesting play of light or some strong or expressive design element ...
