The Moor is dominated by giant granite tors which tower over the sweeping landscape of moorland, Bodmin Moor has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Situated near Minions are the giant flat granite boulders known as The Cheesewrings, with the larger ones sat upon the smaller ones and some over 30 feet in circumference, although formed by natural erosion Cornish folklore blames Giants for them being there.
