Stained Glass Butterflies - Butterfly in Faux Stained Glass, a special illustration technique developed by artist Brandi Jasmine. First, she does a plain line drawing. Next, actual photographs of real stained glass are "painted" into the image. A filter transforms the line drawing into leading to complete the look. Because the butterfly goes into its cocoon and emerges a new creature, butterflies are symbols of transformation. Because of their bright colours and fluttering flight, they are also seen as symbolic of joy and freedom. Many cultures consider them symbolic of the soul.
