This collection of images (available as "museum-quality" prints here at ImageKind) are samples of aerial pics from a flight I took, going from Alamogordo, NM to the Very Large Array (VLA) radio telescope array in the region of Scorro, NM and back again. It was a freezing cold flight in Jan. 2007. The purpose of the flight was to develop flight and imaging techniques for the generation of interactive 3D models of objects on the ground from the air -- a project by the way that is on-going. We were flitting about in a little 1949 Piper Super Cub. Aside from imaging the array, I took some nifty landscape pics, and also got to acquire some imagery of the "Grand Quivira" which lies within some airspace that is often restricted, so you won't find much aerial imagery of that site elsewhere.
