Gallery: Alaska (21 images)

This Gallery contains photographs from our nation's 49th state. The Athabascan native name for the state of Alaska is Alyeska, meaning "the Great Land". I was fortunate enough to spend 10 months in this truly great land, this gallery contains many of the images from that time. Some of the Alaska images will also appear in other galleries(an Alaskan Lake will also appear in the "Water" gallery for instance). Many of these images have been digitally enhanced with a brushstroke effect to resemble paintings when viewed closely. I have found this option to be quite popular and therefore add it to a few of the images. Each image with this effect added will have information to that effect in the image description.
