Gallery: Everlastings (10 images)

Western Australia where we live is sometimes called the wildflower state. Sometimes in Spring (August/September/October for us - remember that our world is upside-down!) the everlastings are everywhere. Although they make wonderful dried arrangements, you are not allowed to pick our wildflowers.

Most of these photos were taken while driving through the mid-west of our huge state, some in the Coalseam Conservation Park near Mingenew; the road into the miners' campsite in the late afternoon light was breathtaking - the everlastings were just sensational, so beautiful that I had tingles down my spine as I gazed at the road ahead ......
