Mundane miracles brought to life through monotypes, oils and photography. Depicting the softer and more rural side of life my art and photography represent the striking beauty of the world that surrounds me. I work in oils, mixed media and monotypes. Monotypes are created through a print process that only produces one non-replicating print. I developed my wet on wet process of monotypes through trail and error. I prefer duralar as my plate and Akua inks for the medium. I will paint directly on the duralar, transferring that to the support of choice. This takes time as I do small areas at a time overlapping to create the soft and glowing look the monotypes end up with. My photography compliments my other art for from my eye for a view come the scenes I paint. Always celebrating the world we live in, especially those small miracles we overlook everyday.
