"OddsOnFavorites" is a special place for people who love horses, especially horses who like to run. All of the pieces are photos taken at race tracks around the country. Many of the embellished photos were taken right here in South Florida at Calder Race Course, Gulfstream park, and Tampa Bay Downs. Other tracks include Colonial Downs in Maryland, Laurel Park, Rockingham Park in New Hampshire, Del Mar in California, Lone Star in Texas, Churchill Downs in Kentucky, and Oaklawn in Arkansas. For me, taking trips to these race tracks has always been a twin blessing: I can see the horses run, and I can also make a few bets, occasionally winning--but whether I win or lose I always enjoy myself. Some of the photos represent retired race horses now living at stables in Florida and Kentucky.
A few photos were taken on horse ranches and on Chincateague Island. I thought the action shots were my favorites, until I began putting this gallery together: then I found myself remembering the good times I had with some of the simpler sepia and black and white pieces.No matter, just enjoy!
