Description I have decided to open the old archives and revisit some of my earlier works. Many were never released for one reason or another, most have been reworked, and modernized. A few have actually, finally been released here. It is funny how your attitude changes when you revisit work you have done even 2-3yrs ago. There is a call like no other, seldom heard midst the clamor of life, it is the cry of Glory as the Macaw open it's beak to sing. Good News is calling listen for it in stillness, believe in it's coming. Blue Macaw is a digital illustration of this bird's joy and hope. It fills him up till he overflows. His secret you may ask, is he allows it. About this Art:size: 9x13media: Fine Art PaperRendering: Digital Illustration
Alma Lee, GREEN BAY, WI Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement I am an artist and a poet, living in a small community in Wisconsin with the love of my life, my husband Steve and the always-joyous presence of my two beloved dogs Dixson and Tripper.
I have loved art longer than life and failed and succeeded in both often. Leonardo da Vinci said; "Where the spirit does not work with the hand there is no art." Concerning my work I have found no truer statement. What I create is a direct expression of the governing spirit within in me. Be it light, I pour out its overflow, be it darkness, I wrestle to relinquish it to the light. Christ has shown me the beauty in both.
Recently color pencil and markers have become my weapon of choice, but in the not so distant past I have drawn and created my art digitally. Now more than not, I choose to employ them both. You can buy my originals on Boundless Gallery, Ebay, Redbubble and www.Esty.com
