Description I had to do this scene. The sleeping boy was my childhood hero when I was very young. This is a scene from the movie 'The Neverending Story.' The boy and the horse are so beautiful in this picture. Even if you haven't seen the movie, the beauty and innocense of this scene is entrancing. This picture was my second pastel and it was the most challenging!

Artist Statement Hello my name's Brian. I am nineteen now. I have been into art since the days I could hold a crayon. I just want to draw things all the time. Sometimes it's nice to draw something because you get closer to whatever it is you are drawing and learn to appreciate it even more, especially how complex it is. My latest drawings have just been blissful, but I am not unknown to darker fare. I sometimes like to show things in ways no one else has seen them. I like my art to capture a mood. I am also very musical, so art and music and very similar. Each dab of color is like a note or something. I am an out of school boy who has a very tough time deciding what I want to do in life. I don't make any money currently for anything related to art or music or anything else. I need a job so I can make money somehow for a living... OR I just need a lot of people to buy my artwork! If you can afford it, it would just make my day if you would fall in love and purchase a print of something. I really appreciate people who notice the talent I have been working on for years.
