Description Of all the most absurd statement in the world I've heard that women who shave their heads are debasing their identity? Brings me to ask Why is there such a global fetish for hair? People...we are not our hair, your hair should not define who you are!
Yvonne King, AZ Member Since December 2008 Artist Statement I have always had a love for color and an eye for interesting views; it started in my teen years in studio art classes in high school and progressed in my adult years by taking armature photos of everything that catches my eye. My cloudscape photos were inspired by my nephew Josh, who had taken a photo of a beautiful cloudscape a few days before he passed away and when I see the clouds, I think of him. [Thank you Josh!] :)
I also like expressing my views on Alopecia and how it has affected my life, bring an upbeat look at this condition through different graphic art and photos I create.
Thorough the many professions I have held in my life, I have always loved to create something with color and art design to wow the viewer. While I'm manipulating the abstract visions in my head onto a graphic layout and designs ideas I may come up with from time to time, I'm having fun with my art and hoping to inspire and motivate others in this journey of life.
Side Note: Alopecia is a highly unpredictable autoimmune skin disease resulting in the loss of hair on the scalp and elsewhere on the body. My Hair story or lack of hair story is a blog I wrote to give awareness to this condition (www.alopeciaworld/yhoney.com).
