Bill Bray, Olympia Member Since October 2010 Artist Statement If you have come this far...Please drop me a note if you have feedback toward my work; Butsudo@msn.com.
From even an early age Bill Bray has been interested in capturing images onto film and taking various shots over thirty years. He learned from my parents the excitement, enthusiasm and passion to freeze in time memories of people, places and things. This inspired my progress through the years using the latest technological equipment that would hit the market. For over the last thirty years he has gone back and forth between various forms of medium format equipment spending most of my time with 35 mm; being dictated through the current assignments at the time. A larger portion of his work stems from that period of time; today's use in a digital format. He gained ability to see an final image in the frame of the camera, wanting the viewer to see emotional moments, and the capture still life has stemmed from formative years of trial and error. I want viewers to have an experience each time they come with me through my photographs, to feel a sense of awe and an inquisitive interest to see more. "I have always shot photographs keeping in mind that these are my impressions, my views from different perspectives, and my vision to capture what I see in a new light. Many of the photos have been taken countless times before by hundreds of other photographers, but these are my interpretations. "
