Description 'The Fox and the Heron' is a story from Aesop's Fables. The fox invites the heron for dinner and offers only a bowl of soup, impossible for the heron to eat. When given the chance, the heron in turn invites the fox. Heron serves dinner in a long-necked glass jar and the fox can only lick the outside. The fox has long played the role as a 'trickster', creating and taking away, thieving, and giving false tales. Heron on the other hand is patient and reflective, and awaits the direct moment to make his moves!Original is a vintage painting by Frans Snyders, courtesy of Wikimedia Commons, public domain images.Composed in Photoshop and Mystical Filtering, with layers, color adjustments, dodging and burning, and textures.Textures courtesy of Shadowhouse of Flickr
