Description My hope, as you view this image, is that you will imagine the preservation of the Great Plains, the places where buffalo can once again roam. Places where the Ferruginous Hawk flies peacefully overhead. Imagine a rare white buffalo bringing change to our world, the sign of a new beginning according to some Native American tribes. See the buffalo in the wind blown grasses. Imagine people and wild creatures living in harmony and balance; buffalo as one with the health of the prairies.
Rebecca Richman, Parker, Colorado Member Since June 2006 Artist Statement "To be whole. To be complete. Wildness reminds us what it means to be human, what we are connected to rather than what we are separate from." ~ Terry Tempest Williams
To honor our relationship with the natural world, I paint the space between the threads that weave together the beautiful tapestry of biodiversity. My work reflects the quiet connection of one life to another, and the intricate ways in which we impact our planet and are impacted by it.
Let’s celebrate our connection to wildness. To the earth. To all life. ~ Rebecca Richman
