Artist Statement Antonio E. Amador is visual artist who uses photography, digital design and computer painting to portray the beauty of a place, the excellence of man creations and the impressions of nature. A college graduate on TV-Film production he dropped the motion picture camera for the still picture camera to capture the joy of a sunny day, the breathtaking sight of a mountain top, and the charm of cobblestoned city of olden times. A quest for harmony and beauty has always characterized his work following his deep beliefs on the environment's importance on the quality of life of people.

The work here at Imagekind reflects just some aspects of Amador's work, as he has also excelled in the commercial aspects of the trade as well as more abstract artistic expression.

Amador has devoted his life to good photography, for the sake of his clients, his portfolio, his postcard business, and nothing else. Hardly has he ever considered contests, awards or recognition. He will work hours or days on a piece that ends up in a hard drive for months (or years) before making it to the web or light of day. That is his commitment to the art; to the essence.

Currently Amador lives with his family in the Washington D.C./Baltimore area and continues his quest for portrayal of beauty, feasting on the wonderful seasonal changes and extraordinary colors of the continental flora and landscape. His latest work shows an evolution into a more abstract, impressionistic portrayal of this beauty that surrounds us everyday, though very few stop to notice.
