Description The original shot was from the surface of the water and taken from a moving ferry that I caught to get to Miyajima, Japan, in November last year. I could hardly imagine the sad feelings this image would conjure to my mind just a few months later. But being in Japan taught me how brave they are and that what they will rebuild will be even more beautiful than what was destroyed.
Roberto Alamino, Birmingham Member Since February 2011 Artist Statement I am a physicist with a passion for photography that dates back to my childhood. For many reasons, I left it behind. I retook it slowly when I bought my first digital camera back in 2006, but only started to be more serious about it in the middle of 2010.
All artwork here, even the digitally manipulated ones, are originally photos taken by myself. I hope you enjoy and I would really appreciate any feedback, good or not. That's the best way to learn, isn't it?
