Artist Statement I am a Freelance Designer With a Masters Degree In Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston MA. Having been born and raised in Sutton MA, a rural farm-town in the center of the state I was given the opportunity to grow up around nature and with an abundance of space. My roots have definitely helped to shape me into the person that I am today. Art has always been a big part of both sides of my family, my grandfather was an art teacher and my mother studied art in college. I have always had a love for the arts and have expressed myself through various media since I was very young. I am currently interested in Photography, Architectural Design, Digital Media and Pen and Ink Drawing.
My first and foremost love is that of Travel. I believe that traveling gives you the opportunity to have an open mind and develop a worldly perspective. The ability to experience other places and cultures gives you the opportunity to take a step back and view things from a wider spectrum. I try and use this passion for travel to influence my work. In addition to travel I love the outdoors and find beauty in open space, the mountains, the desert, the ocean and everything else the world has to offer. I hope that my work can portray some of these ideas. I also have the ability to find beauty in the opposite spectrum and find a certain affinity toward the dirty grungy side of a place. I love to be able to look into anything and find the rawness that is their waiting to be discovered. The slums of a city, an abandoned alley or a wall covered in graffiti all tell a story and If one looks close enough I believe that one can find beauty within.
In addition to all of the above I am an avid Mountain Biker and Skier and I enjoy to surf, listen to music and just relax while enjoying the company of the people in my life. I hope you enjoy my work!
