Description This is one of my favorite photo collages. It is a collection of over 20 separate photos taken in Death Valley of two Joshua Trees. This photo collage was taken in March 2006. I used an extremely small aperture (1.2) to achieve the extreme depth of field found int this collage. You can view a larger image here: http://www.tom-hawkins.com. This is part of a collection of photo collages I have created. To view more of my photo collages please visit my website: http://www.tom-hawkins.com and select Photo Collages.
Tom Hawkins, Santa Monica Member Since January 2009 Artist Statement Please enjoy my Unique Photographic Art of beach scenes from around the world. The images in this gallery are beach scenes from Australia and California. Simple scenes of families and friends enjoying themselves while at a day at the beach. The Australian pictures were taken during Christmas at Bondi and Bronte Beach in 2005. The California pictures were taken at Santa Monica during the summer of 2008.
Imagine yourself within each scene; the hot sun blazing down at you, the scent of the salty air as it wafts past you, the smell of suntan lotion and the sounds of families enjoying themselves at the beach. As you stare at each photo see if you can listen in on the conversations being had on the beach. What do you hear?
