Artist Statement I am a freelance artiost and cartoonist living in Alaska. Although I am presently not syndicated as a cartoonist, which is my goal, I am the official cartoonist for Polar Bears International, as well as numerous other organizations . My work can also be seen in Frankie Kangas' Squidoo sites such as "are you polar bear aware."
I am dedicated to promoting awarenes of global warming, environmental concerns, and the welfare of all the creatures on our planet, primarily Polar Bears, Whales, and Elephants. I attempt to take a unique approach in my "Thin Ice" cartoons to "delicate" subjects, as I feel humor gets through where rhetoric doesn't. I was a professional fishing guide in Alaska and the Northwestern U.S. for over 35 years. I've also been a Chef, carpenter, treeplanter and reforestation foreman for the BLM, pressman, bartender, and professional blues guitarist. My life is dedicated to beauty and peace.
