Jerome Matiyas, founder and owner of Pinevergreen Studio is a graphic designer, web designer, artist, illustrator and writer. He has done many graphic, web development and illustration projects for various clients around the United States and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. Born and raised in the festive island republic of Trinidad, Jerome has been residing in Baltimore, Maryland USA since 1998. From a very young age Jerome has had a love and passion for art, history, film, music and cultures.
Jerome is currently illustrating and writing an epic adventure story entitled The Epic Adventures of Mekonnen. The story is set in an alternate historical earth in the 6th century AD, as a young warrior from the great Empire of Aksum in the highlands of Ethiopia name Mekonnen Sofaniyas finds himself in a grand cosmic battle between good and evil, Light and Darkness.
In the course of the epic trilogy Mekonnen Sofaniyas acquires the myterious but powerful Armour of God, and forms alliances with other Warriors of Light of various nations from around the world together with maginificent creatures from the Celestial Realms of Shamayin (Heaven). Mekonnen and his fellow Warriors most battle against the Armies of Darkness which are a coalition of malevolent men of the earthly realms and vile creatures from the Abyss, lead by an ancient adversary against all that is wholesome and upright, the nefarious Prince Mastemo.
A publishing date has not been set yet for the first book in the Mekonnen trilogy at this time, but Jerome has begun doing displays, small exhibits and web marketing in the Baltimore, DC and Virginia area. Framed artwork based on characters and scenes for the story has already been sold to art lovers and people interested of the epic story.
