Natalie Nelson, Hilton Head Island, SC
Member Since January 2009
Artist Statement Natalie moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina from Michigan about 25 years ago. Photography is a major interest of hers and has been for more than 40 years. As a school administrator in a rural district in Michigan, Natalie shot photos of sports and school events for the Lapeer Community Schools bi-monthly district newsletter. This was of course back in the days of film. While having had an eye and hobby as a photographer for years prior, this is when her passion really developed. Natalie has taken photography enrichment and online courses not only in the technical aspects of photography, but in processing and editing images as well. Since moving to the south, she has worked with local professional photographers. Her work has included production management where she has sharpened her editing skills, and shooting conventions, private events, and weddings. Since January, 2009 Natalie decided it was time to begin promoting the type of photography she has always loved, shooting flora, fauna, and landscapes.
