LOUIS BROOKS WAS THE FIRST BACK-TO-BACK ALL-AROUND WORLD CHAMPION COWBOY IN 1943 AND 1944. HE WAS INDUCTED INTO THE OKLAHOMA COWBOY HALL OF FAME IN 1966, AND THE COLORADO HALL OF FAME IN 1993. NITA BROOKS-LEWALLEN IS A 1997 INDUCTEE INTO THE NATIONAL COWGIRL HALL OF FAME IN FORT WORTH. LOUIS MET HIS WIFE NITA WHILE COMPETING AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MADISON SQUARE GARDENS.
