Description A little nostalgic, a little superstitious, and in a rainbow of eye-popping colors – ‘Lucky Rabbit’! This one is the most subdued of the ‘Lucky Rabbit’ litter, in washed-out blues on a sand ground. In some cultures, the foot of a rabbit is believed to bring good luck. In America in the 1980s they were dyed unbelievably bright colors and sold on keychains as lucky rabbits’ feet. Here now is the rest of the ‘Lucky Rabbit’, which was something I worried about as a child. I mean, if they’d had a foot lopped off, they can’t have been all that lucky. Or, maybe the opposite was true ... in which case if the foot alone was lucky, how lucky might the REST of the good luck charm be? Also available in other colors. See my ‘LifeOnEarth’ gallery. These small prints work well on their own, or grouped with other color combinations from the ‘Lucky Rabbit’ series. A framed ‘Lucky Rabbit’ would make a great ‘Get well soon’ gift for someone with the right sense of humor.
A. L. Kahler, Australia Member Since March 2012 Artist Statement I am a story-teller. I use different mediums – fiction and non-fiction, poetry, performance, animation, video – depending on what seems right for a particular story. Here I share some stories through images. I may even put up a few images whose stories I haven’t quite worked out.
Perhaps you have a place – the perfect place – that has been waiting to hold one of these stories. I bet it would look great there.
