Artist Statement As an artist, doctor of psychology in private practice, an author and international speaker it is important to me that my work has meaning - deep meaning.

Therefore, I believe that art should enhance the positive energy around you and bring joy in your heart. I like to create a sense of mystery in art which comes through me so the viewer asks “What is she saying in this painting?” Whatever they come up with is their story that comes out of the shadow of the person perhaps. Art explores your inner life and often elicits strong emotional responses.

I create very personal kind of art. I prefer paintings to be a source for personal reflection. Therefore, these paintings which you shall view contain many different layers of meaning for each individual. Every image is very special to me. Some paintings are symbolic, soulic and impressionistic having evolved totally out of my meditations. Other paintings are realistic and representations having evolved from my international travels.

I am drawn to the ethereal look of watercolor. Watercolor lets through Light. Watercolor as a medium insists on creativity because it creates problems that need solving. It is an unpredictable medium with plenty of surprises - I like that sense of surprise with watercolor.
