Dale Patton, Aliso Viejo, CA Member Since December 2012 Artist Statement My primary career has been in residential design which I have enjoyed very much. However, I always believed the many years I spent at the drafting table would inspire a unique style of art that would capture the minds and hearts of both young and old. In 2009, I was commissioned to do 14 drawings for a new Children's Hospital in Arizona. I was chosen for this project because my style of art was appealing to infants and toddlers with the simple forms and bright colors. However, the technical aspects of the drawings engage the minds of tweens, teens and parents alike. With that said, my art is a great option to consider for the rooms of children of all ages, a pediatric office or hospital, or perhaps a school or nursury. One note about myself. I was raised at Grand Canyon National Park in Northern Arizona. Growing up in a National Park instills an appreciation for the natural environment and has certainly had an impact on who I am and what inspires me. Many of my drawings identify the geometries in nature which I have always found fascinating.
