Jaanika Peerna, Berlin Member Since January 2007 Artist Statement Jaanika Peerna is an Estonian-born artist living and working in New York since 1998.Currently resides on Berlin for one year. Her upbringing in the northern Europe has given her special sensitivity towards subtle light and the immense worlds of various grey tones in nature which you can see in her artwork.
Her work encompasses drawings, videos and light installations often dealing with the theme of transitions in light, air, water and other natural phenomena. She has exhibited her work extensively in the entire New York metropolitan area as well as in Paris, Tallinn, Lisbon, Sofia, Dubai, Honolulu, Novosibirsk and Rome.
