Description This is a closeup macro pinhole camera photograph of a large magnolia blossom, in a studio setting. Note the many shades and textures visible in the flower's petals. A medium format film pinhole camera (the Zero Image 2000) was used to record this image.

I am a scientist, astronomer, mathematician, and engineer by trade, and a pinhole photographer by passion. Though I occasionally do "lensed photography", I generally do work with pinhole and zone plate cameras, where no lens is used. I work with either large format (4x5) or medium format film.
