Artist Statement For years I have worked as a television news photographer. I have covered casinos and criminals, princes, presidents, and of course, hurricanes. And it may be as a result of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 that I began to collect still images reflecting the strength and beauty of New Orleans and the Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi Gulf Coast.
I began taking pictures with a borrowed SLR over thirty years ago. More enjoyable than finding images was processing them in the darkroom. Now, digital technology has brought me back to still photography.
I have just begun to post here. Check back often, and come visit and enjoy the wonder of America's Southeast.
