DescriptionThis acrylic painting depicts what I saw many times in the winter on our dairy farm in southwest Kansas. The barn and fence in the back ground was what it looked like. The cow and calf are from another source but a holstein is a holstein. It was time for them to be moved in out of the impending blizzard. I remember it well! The original art I will not depart with. Enjoy!
Kevin Meredith, Denver Member Since January 2013 Artist Statement From my childhood spent on a farm in the Midwest thru my years of academia at the University of Kansas School of Fine Arts to present, I continue to refine my craft in the world of fine arts. My inspirational point in painting is to tell a story, capture a memory, real or imagined. To create something that might move your spirit and stir in you that same passion by which I am driven. A couple American artist masters that embodied this approach in their life time of work were Homer Winslow and of coarse Norman Rockwell. There are many others but these artists are my favorite. Their use of color and an ability to convey emotion thru the stroke of the brush.
Thanks for visiting and my hope is that in some way my work moves you.
