DescriptionThis is one of the classic shots seen many times of Maya Bay with tourist boats parked on the bay. Its difficult to get vacant beach in middle of the day but somehow I have managed to get a section of the beach without any tourists having sun tan in the frame!!Maya Bay has become even more popular after the Hollywood movie ''The Beach'' was filmed here. People says the 2004 tsunami has dramatically improved the look of Maya Bay. This was due to the fact that the high waves had cleaned up the beach and removed all the landscaping the Fox production team had added.
Souvik Bhattacharya, Singapore Member Since June 2009 Artist Statement My interest about photography started 5 years back. It all began with an Olympus film camera and couple of my portrait and landscape shots were highly appreciated. From then this photography bug got in my mind and after that in another couple of years end up buying Sony Cybershot DSC-H1which was my first step to digital world of photography.
Around couple of years back entered DSLR world and result was quiet promising which in same time also very encouraging to go beyond limits.
