In my photographs I concentrate on the smaller or less obvious elements or textures of everyday scenes that are typically overlooked by the casual observer. My images of Japan, for example, reveal an important essence of Japanese culture—the beauty of Japan can often be found in the details. Meanwhile, in a series of black and white images of architectural features and streetscapes, I've retained select colors to evoke the look of hand-colored photos. With flowers, plants and animals I've isolated or emphasized a few key elements of their structures.
A photographer and free-lance marketing-communications writer, I lived and worked in Miami for nearly three decades before relocating to Suwanee,Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, where my photos have been a staple at galleries and other venues in the area.
