Richard is prize winning photographer. His work has been shown in diverse galleries in New England. He enjoys finding quiet beauty in the everyday. Although some of his his photographs come from distant places, it's likely because that's where he found himself at the time. Also of interest is his Zoom Gallery which extract color and dynamism from still life.
In most of his work, Richard strives to capture the silence and stillness at the basis of the diverse world. He has been a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique for over 30 years.
Born in Yorkshire, England where he spent his childhood years, he has lived also on the European continent spending 3 years in Switzerland, France and later Poland and Hungary. Also, there were 9 months in India. For the last 22 years he has lived in Branford, Connecticut.
