I have always made images for as long as I can remember, whether in dreams or with words or pencils or cameras. The important thing is 'seeing', and making a connection with what you've seen. If you can't understand it, feel it and believe in it then it has little or no value. If you can't communicate what the image means to you then it's only value belongs to you alone.
I don't just like taking a photograph and letting that be the end of it. For me the capture is just the start of exploring what the image means to me. I process my images in such a way as to express what each frame represents to me: how that moment is remembered hours, days, weeks or months later when I begin to process it. How the image connects the moment of its capture with all the past associations I have of a place; how I get lost in the image when i'm working on it, sleepwalking towards a memory of an emotion of a time that has passed.
