Matt Hess was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is
seeking a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of North Florida while
currently attending Florida Community College of Jacksonville. Matt
has been a professional photographer for 12 years, including 6 years
in stock photography with Super Stock. He attributes his passion for
photography to Professor Mark Sablow of FCCJ. Matt’s work has
won him numerous Best in Show and First Place awards and can be
seen on multiple CD cases, books, brochures, magazines and
roadside billboards. Matt’s photographs have been sold all around the
world.
He is a self-taught flameworker who has been blowing glass for over
5 years. He has taken workshops with master level flameworkers,
Robert A. Mickelson and Steve Sizelove. He has worked on some
award winning collaborations with the local flameworking studio
Lucid Visions Glass Art. He is working on getting his glass showcased
