Painting is my first love - I've been influenced by German Expressionism and Fauvism. Emotion through the use of color is very important to me. I adore extreme, brilliant color and have a preference for figurative work (many of which are self-portraits - due more to model availability than narcissism I hope). I love art and am open to all forms of art including photography, oil pastel and "Little Souls" which are found-object mosaic-like pieces, like small, framed shrines (which can be viewed at my picasa site link above). Creativity is a gift to be enjoyed by those who create and those who observe - so ENJOY!
