What you are witnessing is the rebirth of my creative soul. About two years ago I went through some of the hardest times of my life as I recovered from a divorce. I was able to channel my creative energy into a cathartic body of work. Doing this helped me break through a 10+ year long block that had kept me from expressing Who I Really Am.

My work is both a spiritual expression of my journey as well as a means to allow the Universe to touch others. I am merely the channel. When I paint I certainly feel a much higher power working through me.

Part of my process involves applying colors and washes and adding salt. The salt acts as a resist and as it dries adds an element of randomness to the work. I come back and look at it to see what images I can bring out, as if it were Rorschach ink blot test. Working in this way allows my subconscious mind to take over and paint from within.

Spirals, animals, and spirit forms began to populate my paintings. Spirals represent the outward growth and the creative force. Each animal or mythological creature representsa bit of my soul or the soul of humanity that I wanted to represent. I hope to transport the viewer into my corner of the Universe to see how I view the world.

I currently live in Illinois and am working full time professional on my art. I will be selling originals and have been known to do commissions from time to time.
