I'm a Mom and artist who loves to sketch animals, people and fantasy creatures. Some of my other interests next to family are bird watching, gardening, photography, reading, crafts and cooking.
My process for creating my artwork usually begins with a blank piece of paper where I sketch my ideas first as thumbnails. I then do the full size sketch and finish the image in pencil as completely as I can and then scan the artwork into my computer. My process for creating my artwork usually begins with a blank piece of paper where I sketch my ideas first as thumbnails. I then do the full size sketch and finish the image in pencil as completely as I can and then scan the artwork into my computer. From there I work with Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop while working with layers. I 'paint' the image and work within the program using the graphic tools to bring the image to a finished state. I have been working this way for several years. Before digital paint programs I sketched in pencil, painted in oils, acrylics, pastels, color pencils and watercolor. For practice I try to do a pencil sketch each day even if the sketch is just a simple one.
