What began as a personal journey back in 2005, has translated into an abundance of colorful images, I describe as art from the heart. While I’ve always been fascinated with color and whimsical themes, I am finding balance between the abstract and figurative pieces which has dominated the entire collection.

While I’ve always been fascinated with color and whimsical themes, I am finding balance between the abstract and figurative pieces which has dominated the entire collection.

My current abstract series is an exploration of color and themes, inspired by music, thoughts, and everyday life. The figurative pieces are inspired by my childhood, reminiscent of living in Jamaica, Nigeria and the states. Many of the themes surround childhood and the free spirit we all wish we still had. My primary focus is to keep the creative spark once ignited as a child to continue to explore the world and all the possibilities through painting a myriad of subjects, themes, and topics.

While the topic changes themes remain constant. The paintings continue to reveal my sense of the world as a colorful, abundant place. Painting has helped me to keep dreaming of the possibilities.
