Toronto based photographer with education and interest in architecture and art history. Sees each image as simultaneously being a representation and misrepresentation, and searches out a kind of open space for free interpretations in the greyness produced by indefinite meanings. Works primarily with various traditional film formats incorporated into a digital workflow.

*Cornered by strips of freeways and barren construction lands the confined site would soon be lost to the redundancies of urban planning, doing little to reflect its Genius Loci; its title 'The Last to Fall' stresses on the inevitability and irreversibility of suburbanization.

An element of time comes into play through the alternate meanings of 'last' and 'fall'; expressing a desire to outlive the summer in a bleak tone, as its disappearance was as sure to happen as the change of seasons - a metaphoric notion to be freely explored by each viewer on a personal level, enriching the experience of the image beyond its documentary value.
